Why I Chose This Topic

From my past experience working at a non-profit Public health Organization in Atlanta, I have seen how difficult it can be for people to access affordable healthcare. Healthcare access is a challenge for many families, especially those who are immigrants, uninsured, or living on limited income. Many people delay medical care not because they do not care about their health, but because the healthcare system can feel confusing, expensive, and difficult to navigate.

This project was created to organize healthcare information into a clearer, simpler guide. My goal is to help people understand where to begin thier care journey, what services may exist, and what questions they can ask when searching for affordable options.

While this website is only an class project, the idea behind it was thewhole reason why i joined this class, because i saw a real need for accessible healthcare information that is easier for families and communities to understand.

This website does not replace a doctor, clinic, or official government source. Instead, it serves as an educational guide that can help users organize their search, learn basic terms, and find trusted places to continue.

Why This Topic Matters

Many families put off care because they are worried about cost, transportation, insurance, immigration concerns, or simply not knowing where to begin. A lack of clear and accessible information can make these barriers even worse.

A website that explains healthcare in simpler language can reduce confusion and help people take the first step toward care.
